CD and ICCM Begin Collaboration

News In a move which may see STAR-CD gain fluid/structure interaction capabilities, Computational Dynamics has joined ICCM in a collaborative effort to develop ICCM's CFD code COMET.
...a collaboration to develop and sell the latter's CFD code COMET, which has multiphysics capabilities, including an embedded structures solver for fluid/structure interaction simulation. The agreement also involves joint development work on STAR-CD with the possible long-term goal of merging the two codes, which have complementary capabilities and common 'genes'.
I have often questioned the genes of my CFD software - or was it those of the developers? ;-). Let us know the genetic make-up of your CFD code by posting a comment to this story.
