Application: CFD for Waterway Damage Control

	Researchers at the University of Hannover are using STAR-CD to predict sub-surface currents, wakes, and propeller jet impingement on waterway banks and beds. Damage to waterways from ship activity requires expensive repair work to correct. “The results are very promising and we feel that the knowledge gap in this area is closing so that engineers will be able to better protect our waterways in the near future”
