SGI Introduces Faster Microprocessor

	SGI has introduced the R14000A microprocessor across all of its product lines. The new 600 MHz processor boosts performance of SGI® products by up to 37% percent on many technical and creative applications. The new R14000A 600 MHz processor upgrade is priced at $5,500 U.S. list and is available for purchase immediately for previously installed Octane2 systems. Dual-processor upgrades will be available in March ($11,000 U.S. list).
