The use of Fluent CFD is now an important tool in designing complex buildings such as those undertaken by Hilson Moran, providing the ability to accurately simulate physical phenomena including external air flows for pedestrian comfort studies, internal air flows for the design of naturally ventilated buildings, thermal comfort studies in large enclosed spaces and the spread of smoke generated through fire. Using Fluent CFD such analysis can be accurately conducted, either during the design stages or retrospectively to confirm the expected performance, providing greatly reduced risk within the design and commissioning process.

Other projects have included a number of major buildings at Canary Wharf where, in addition to the base design for Canary Wharf Limited, it has been responsible for the fitting out for both Lehman Brothers and Clifford Chance’s new headquarters.
