The signing ceremony was attended by local government officials, a senatorial representative, local corporate management, university staff, and the media.
WSU is a public university with an enrollment of over 17,000 students. It offers 155 degree programs including 46 graduate and professional programs and was recognized by the Princeton Review as a 2008 “Best in the Midwest” college. WSU has been an active participant in graduate and professional exchange programs with several Japanese educational institutions. In addition, the city of Dayton, OH supports a large technology, engineering, and manufacturing base and is attracting many Japanese ventures.
