Multiphase Flows in Industrial Applications Course and Conference
April 28th - 30th 2003
Dresden, Germany
Multiphase flows are of great interest to a large variety of industries. The power generation, food production, chemical process, and automotive industries are all driving forces in this physically and phenomenologically complex field.
A one-day course will be followed by a two-day conference.
The goal of this conference is to bring together experimental and numerical practitioners, and foster the exchange of knowledge between the two sides. Experts from both areas are called upon to present their research and application results to a receptive worldwide audience. Sponsored by CFX Germany and Forschungszentrum Rossendorf e.V.
Abstracts are currently being accepted.
The short course is designed to provide knowledge on the use of numerical and experimental methods for multiphase flows.
Participants will receive an overview of the possibilities and limits of both modern experimental methods and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Valuable information on the applicability of CFD for daily tasks will be provided.
The lecturers are acknowledged experts in the areas outlined above.
