Announcements CD-adapco will host Vehicle Simulation, Improving Product Performance, Cost and Time-to-Market on 26 Feb, 2009 at 15:00 GMT (10 AM EST, 15:00 CET).

Vehicle manufacturers are under constant consumer driven pressure to produce innovative designs that are aesthetically appealing, environmentally friendly (in terms of fuel efficiency and emissions) and are cost effective. Manufacturers from the automotive, trucking, heavy equipment and even the defense industry all are increasingly relying on vehicle simulation to not only improve product performance, but also to reduce time-to-market and prototyping costs.

Guest Speaker
Robert Lietz, CFD Technical Expert at Ford Aerodynamics

Mr. Lietz will discuss how the availability of simulation data early in the design process can guide decision-making and minimize engineering risk, by inspiring greater confidence in the product. Attendees will have a greater understanding how CFD tools like STAR-CCM+ are impacting productivity and reducing cost at companies like Ford.

In addition, this online webinar will highlight the ways in which numerical simulation can be used to improve vehicle aerodynamics and thermal management. Demonstrations will show the process for setting up a full three-dimensional analysis, and techniques for evaluating and optimizing particular components in a design before building and testing prototypes.

Everyone who attends receives access to the Automotive Resource Center and the opportunity to participate in a free software trial program.
