Following the successful first edition of the Summer School in 2008, we are keen to encourage the use of OpenFOAM within the academic and research community.
The Summer School will gather a small number of attendees, who will spend 10 working days working under supervision on their own project. Local staff and supervisors will help in the work through one-on-one tutored sessions and group lectures on the subject of numerical modelling, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and in particular OpenFOAM. Also, the lectures on chosen topics of mathematical and numerical modeling pertinent to coupled problems in engineering and applied physics will be delivered.
OpenFOAM is produced by OpenCFD Ltd and is freely available and open source, licensed under the GNU General Public Licence.
