Learn how naval architects from companies like Det Norske Veritas, Daewoo, Germanischer Lloyd, Hyundai, Lloyd's Register, Samsung, Technip, and American Bureau of Shipping use engineering simulation (CFD) to answer both design and operational questions.
Discover new ways to:
- Modify bilge keels to prevent excessive vessel rolling
- Optimize thruster positioning
- Get accurate hull drag predictions for transportation of a semi-submersible
- Understand wave slam loads and enhancements before going to the tank
During this workshop, CFD experts will cover a wide variety of naval issues and demonstrate a comprehensive simulation including geometry import, model preparation, configuration of the physics to post-processing, and reading results. The hands-on session in the afternoon will provide attendees the opportunity to try some of the techniques demonstrated throughout the day. Guest Speaker Prof. Dr. Ing. Milovan Peric will be available after the morning presentation to answer specific questions relating to your business.
Workshop Agenda
- 09:30 - 10:00 - Registration & Coffee
- 10:00 - 12:00 - CFD in the Marine Industry
- 12:00 - 13:00 - Lunch
- 13:00 - 15:00 - Afternoon Hands-On Session
