Announcements CD-adapco will host two Workshops: Improved Approaches for Complex Geometries and Heat Transfer Simulation on February 11th and 13th.

Our Heat Transfer seminar (Columbus) will present the most up-to-date 3D analysis and efficient heat transfer methods available for mechanical and electronic system design, including components and assemblies.

By attending, you will receive firsthand knowledge of how companies apply design-time settings for the simulation of heat transfer in forced convection, conduction, and thermal and solar radiation scenarios. A discussion on the calculation and interpretation of heat transfer coefficients will follow.

At our Meshing/Complex Geometries workshop (Cleveland), we will cover the latest surface wrapping and meshing technologies that eliminate manual repair from the CFD process. This assures a faster route from CAD to flow simulation, and gives engineers the opportunity to concentrate on engineering analysis.

This workshop will feature the topics of:

  • Surface wrapping
  • Advanced meshing technology like meshing thin structures, part-based operations, and body-fitting mesher
  • Complex geometry handling
  • Mesh motion

Live interactive demos of meshing and optimization will be a substantial part of this workshop. Attend this session and increase your efficiency in going from CAD to simulation.

Dates and Locations:
Feb. 11, 2014: Courtyard Columbus Airport, 2901 Airport Dr, Columbus, OH
Feb. 13, 2014: Cleveland Marriott East, 26300 Harvard Rd, Warrensville Heights, OH
