A copy of the presentation materials is sufficient. Presentations at previous events have included unique applications of Pointwise, advanced scripting for Pointwise automation and meshing research incorporating Pointwise.
Brief abstracts (500 words or less) must be submitted by 18 July and should describe computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or similar computational work for which Pointwise was used for meshing. The presentation should include tips, tricks, techniques and best practices used when generating meshes. Abstracts may be submitted in plain text, Microsoft Word, or PDF formats by emailing them to ugm@pointwise.com. Submissions should include the sender’s contact information.
Registration for the user group meeting begins 13 May. For more information, visit www.pointwise.com/ugm.
Pointwise, Inc. is solving the top problem facing engineering analysts today – mesh generation for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The company’s Pointwise software generates structured, unstructured and hybrid meshes; interfaces with CFD solvers, such as ANSYS FLUENT, STAR-CD, ANSYS CFX and OpenFOAM as well as many neutral formats, such as CGNS; runs on Windows (Intel and AMD), Linux (Intel and AMD), and Mac, and has a scripting language, Glyph, that can automate CFD meshing. Large manufacturing firms and research organizations worldwide rely on Pointwise as their complete CFD preprocessing solution.
