Announcements CD-adapco will host Using CFD to Design More Efficient Combustion Systems on June 9, 2016.

Combustion is the major source of energy in the world today. Improving the efficiency of combustion systems is not only critical from an economic perspective, but it greatly impacts the environment and long-term sustainability of our planet.

Experiments and prototyping are expensive due to the complexity and high temperatures involved in combustion systems. Therefore, CFD simulation is a key enabling technology for designing better combustion and aftertreatment systems. Combustion engineers are now integrating simulation up front in their design processes to increase efficiency and reduce emissions.

By attending this webinar, you will learn how to model reacting flows to accurately predict flame position, fluid and wall temperatures as well as the production of undesirable emissions such as NOx and CO associated with combusting various types of fuels. You will also learn how to predict conversion rates in chemical reactors. In particular, you will understand when, where and how to apply the different methods available in engineering simulation for reacting flow modeling. A demo will show you how the reacting flow modeling is efficiently achieved directly in engineering simulation through tight integration with the meshing, flow and heat transfer calculations, and visualization capabilities in order to discover better designs, faster.

This webinar is free, but registration is required to obtain log-in information. Please visit our event page for further details.
