| Course on Computational Methods and Parallel Processing in Science and Technology |
|

|
|
Emphasis will be placed on the formulation of problems, on the analytical and numerical techniques for a solution and the computation of results in terms of vector plots, streamlines, vortex tubes, isotherms, magnetic lines.
The primary objectives of the course are as follows:
- Elucidate the fundamentals of scientific computing methods, viz, finite difference, finite element, finite volume and particle methods.
- Application of the above methods in solving the Navier-Stokes and Maxwell equations.
- Parallel computing on GPU
- Specific application of above mentioned methods in the biomedical science, electromagnetic and defence applications.
The course will be held 20-30 December 2017.
