Computer-aided engineering (CAE) or simulation plays a crucial role in the design and optimization of medical devices, implants, and prostheses. While the application of engineering simulation was until recently reserved only to large companies with a high budget, the use of cloud computing has contributed to its democratization.

	In this webinar in collaboration with Onshape, you will learn how cloud-based simulation with SimScale and cloud-based CAD design with Onshape enables every engineer in the world to design better products faster and cheaper in the field of medicine or biomedical engineering by using a standard web browser (no installation or special hardware required). The design of a cardiovascular stent will be taken as an example and will be optimized based on the results of a structural simulation (FEA). There is no prior knowledge or software required to join this webinar. All participants can get free access to Onshape and SimScale with all the required simulation features by creating a free account on the website.
