Registration for the workshop includes a 30-day FLOW-3D license.
Led by FLOW-3D water & civil modeling expert, John Wendelbo, this one and a half day workshop will provide attendees with an in-depth exposure to FLOW-3D modeling capabilities, as well as hands-on instruction for setting up and running free surface simulations. The workshop will focus on how FLOW-3D can be used in complex hydraulic analysis for common application types for municipal stormwater, dams, river and environmental, and wastewater treatment applications.
During the workshop, beyond free surface modeling, you will be introduced to more sophisticated physics models, including air entrainment, sediment and scour, thermal plumes, density flows, moving objects and particle dynamics. By the end of the workshop, you will have set up eight models from scratch, absorbed the user interface and steps that are common to important classes of hydraulic problems. You will also use the advanced post-processing tool FlowSight to analyze the results of your simulations. This one and a half day workshop is comprehensive yet accessible for engineers new to 3D CFD modeling.
