Announcements SimScale will host How to Model Trees With Porous Media — Pedestrian Wind Comfort With SimScale on April 21st.

In this webinar, we will introduce one of SimScale’s newest feature: porous media for LBM and Pedestrian Wind Comfort analysis. We will present this advanced feature by discussing its meaning, explaining why it is important for urban flow simulation, describing how it can be used, and demonstrate by simulating the effects of different types of trees on the flow patterns, ultimately mitigating undesired wind effects.

We will then show how we can easily set this feature within the SimScale and walk through a couple of projects where this feature is useful in providing greater accuracy, validity, and detail to desired results.

RWho should register?

  • Architects, Urban Planners, Environmental Consultants, and Engineers whose work aims at developing wind effect mitigation solutions for wind comfort and wind loading projects
  • Professionals who want to understand the benefits of CFD simulation to their projects
  • Everyone interested in learning the applications of simulation in wind engineering and urban planning
