According to Prof. Mehrdad Zangeneh, TURBOdesign1 Product Director, the new version provides two major productivity enhancements: the ability to specify blade loading and thickness distribution on many streamwise sections and the ability to perform blade comparisons.
The application by many leading turbomachinery manufacturers such as Ebara Corporation of Japan and Avio group of Italy has led to important breakthroughs in design (such as compact machine size) as well as substantial reductions in design cycle.
Mr. Hiroyuki Kato, Executive General Manager of Ebara (Hydro and Aerodynamic Technologies Division – Fluid Machinery Group), has been using TURBOdesign1 since 1998 and says “Ebara has succeeded in
making a significant reduction in the overall production time of custom pumps and increased competitiveness in the world markets. This new design system is also very effective to accelerate the development of the hydraulic designs of mass-production
standard pumps”.
TURBOdesign1 V2.0 is available on UNIX and NT platforms. It is provided at no additional cost to all current TURBOdesign1 customers. License fees are determined by the type of processes that a user requires. If you would like to register for a web demonstration of TURBOdesign1 visit our website.
