FENSAP-ICE 2007-2008 adds important new functionalities to the ice protection system designer's toolbox, such as:

  • New physical models for accurate prediction of flow, impingement, accretion, heat loads (hot bleed-air and electro-thermal), and performance degradation.
  • Modeling for wiremesh screens, as used in helicopter installations for FOD protection.
  • Outstanding graphical display that greatly facilitates parameter input and convergence monitoring.

A new FENSAP-ICE-PLATINUM version, to be commercialized in February 2008, is also available for free trial. It has:

  • A powerful Supercooled Large Droplets (SLD) analysis option ready for the impending icing envelope expansion of APP X.
  • The simultaneous solution of adjacent static and rotating components, permitting icing analysis on helicopter rotors, aircraft propellers, etc.
