EnSight 10.2 builds upon the largest set of features for any visualization or post-processing tool for CFD solvers on the market. Engineers are able to use EnSight to evaluate modifications to products and quickly understand which of these modifications are having the most productive impact for its application. The EnSight family of products also provides numerous options for presenting the results of these visualizations to a wide variety of audiences.
The primary goal of the EnSight 10.2 update is to give engineers a more realistic view of their simulation data. The update features a fully overhauled graphics system that allows for the display of extremely realistic models. Models now feature improved shadows, reflections and refractions based on a diverse list of materials, giving presentations a complete, professional look. Users also have the option to place and manipulate multiple light sources, allowing for even more control over the display of a visualization.
Large visualizations, such as the images generated by EnSight, often take up a lot of computer memory while rendering. The EnSight 10.2 update features an improved rendering pipeline, which allows not only for better rendering quality, but a dramatic decrease in memory usage for rendering. This allows users to draw larger scenes on their graphics cards and should improve performance overall.
One of the primary goals for any engineering visualization is effective communication of the data to peers, shareholders, supervisors and other stakeholders. EnSight 10.2 makes it easier than ever for users to share their results with any audience. New options include the ability to save images with transparent backgrounds, allowing the images to be seamlessly included in presentations and reports. EnSight has also developed a library of over 200 crafted color palettes for use in visualizations, to ensure that the audience gets the most complete understanding of simulation data.
“This is the most powerful update EnSight has ever released,” said Anders Grimsrud, President of CEI Software. “We’ve made a large effort to not only pack new features into EnSight 10.2, but also to look at the underlying technology and improve performance. I think users are going to be very pleased with this version, and I’m excited to see what our customers will be able to create.”
EnSight 10.2 was launched in February 2017. To learn more about EnSight, EnSight 10.2 or to download the update visit EnSight.com/10-2.
